Some patients believe that if they can find the top plastic surgeons Los Angeles has to offer, they will have found the right surgeon for them. This is not the case for a number of reasons:

1) Those lists of “Los Angeles top plastic surgeons” are arbitrary. Some surgeons are considered “tops” because they work on celebrities while others are respected in their fields. Some are famous in and of themselves. But this does not mean they are right for you.

2) Los Angeles top plastic surgeons may not have the expertise you need. A top surgeon may specialize in a different procedure than you need, in which case you are better off visiting a lesser-known surgeon with extensive expertise in the surgery you want.

3) Los Angeles top plastic surgeons may not mean tops for you. You don’t need a surgeon who makes the TV news. What you need is a surgeon who listens to your needs, has expertise and training in your area, and is trustworthy. You need to find someone you can trust with your face – and this may not be the same surgeon a celebrity trusts with hers.
