Restylane® Hyaluronic Acid Filler in Beverly Hills

Dr. Chiu provides several types of injectable dermal fillers at his practice in Beverly Hills. Restylane® is one of the fillers that Dr. Chiu recommends to patients dealing with volume loss, wrinkles, or thinning skin.

What Is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid filler that helps targeted tissues retain water and restore skin volume. This non-surgical treatment can rejuvenate and enhance the appearance of the treated areas by restoring plumpness, smoothing wrinkles, and stimulating collagen growth to strengthen the skin.

What Areas Can Restylane® Treat?

  • Face

Hyaluronic acid fillers are used to treat wrinkles and hollows on the face. This dermal filler can restore volume loss that causes sunken cheeks, narrowing facial features, and indented temples.

  • Lips

Certain Restylane® products can treat thinning or naturally thin lips. Restylane® lip treatment can define your pout and leave your lips looking plump and smooth. Hyaluronic acid is one of the best choices for injectable lip augmentation.

  • Hands

Hyaluronic acid injections can address visible veins, wrinkles, and crepey skin on the back of your hands. These injections can restore lost volume, conceal bulging or pronounced veins, and help your hands look younger and more smooth.

What Does Each Restylane® Product Do?

  • Restylane®

Restylane® injections plump the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds around the nose, mouth, and lips. It adds volume and fullness to craft a more elegant facial balance.

This product has been clinically proven to achieve results that last up to 18 months. It has been specially engineered to mimic your body’s naturally produced hyaluronic acid to achieve natural results.

  • Restylane® Silk

A smooth, clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), Restylane® Silk has been clinically proven to combat signs of aging around the mouth and lips.

By using smaller, smoother HA particles, Restylane® Silk creates natural-looking, youthful results.

  • Restylane® Lyft

Restylane® Lyft can treat both the face and hands. It is an anti-allergenic hyaluronic acid (HA) gel treatment that restores volume and stimulates collagen growth.

It can add healthy-looking volume to the cheeks or back of the hands for a fuller, fresher, and more youthful appearance.

  • Restylane® Refyne

Restylane® Refyne filler smooths folds that run down from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

While other injectable products can cause unnatural, stiff, or fake-looking results, Restylane® Refyne softens laugh lines while maintaining the fundamental beauty of your natural expression.

  • Restylane® Defyne

Restylane® Defyne is a dermal filler that smooths away “laugh lines” while supporting the youthfulness of your natural-looking facial expressions.

Restylane® Defyne has been clinically proven to boost the elasticity and healthy movement of the lower portion of the face.

What Does Recovery Look Like After Restylane® Filler Injections?

Immediately After

Immediately after your hyaluronic acid injection, you may experience minor swelling, redness, soreness, or similar reactions. These symptoms typically fade within a few hours or days. Some symptoms may persist for up to 2 weeks in sensitive areas like your lips.

Most patients resume their daily activities immediately after treatment.

7 to 14 Days After

Patients should avoid taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or high doses of vitamin E for up to seven days after their treatment.

Patients should keep their treated areas out of direct sunlight and high-temperature environments (like hot tubs or sunbathing on the beach) for at least 7 days for best results.

By the end of the second week, your filler should settle and no longer move if firmly pressed.

4 to 6 Weeks After

Most patients begin to see their initial results by this point.

Patients who have had injections on their hands should not do heavy lifting with their hands for 4 to 6 weeks. The filler can get moved around and invalidate the beneficial results of the injections.

Yes. You can combine Restylane® with other medspa treatments, such as injectable BOTOX® Cosmetic or JUVÉDERM® fillers.

How often should I get follow-up hyaluronic acid injections?

Dr. Chiu usually recommends that patients undergo follow-up injections every three to six months to maintain their results. Individual patient needs will vary, so you should talk with Dr. Chiu about your personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
