How Is SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® Performed?
Your SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® treatment is performed right in our office and takes no longer than 15 minutes. Your provider will use multiple injections to place tiny droplets of product just under the surface of your skin. Once the injections are completed, they may gently massage your face to spread the product evenly across the treatment area.

Is there downtime required after SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®?
There is no actual downtime required after your SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® treatment. You can return to work and most of your daily activities immediately after your appointment. However, it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise, extensive exposure to sun and heat, and alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours after your injections.
You may experience mild side effects such as bruising, swelling, or redness around the injection sites, but these are normal and will resolve within about a week.
How is SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® different from injectable fillers?
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® uses hyaluronic acid, a primary ingredient in many fillers. However, dermal fillers use a thick, cohesive gel to add volume and shape to your face. SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is a much thinner gel that diffuses evenly under your skin without adding volume. The injection techniques are also different, so you must choose a provider trained specifically in the method used for SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM®.
